  2007 Tax Returns & Your VSPA Dues

Regarding the deductibility of your 2007 dues.  “The Association has elected not to pay the Proxy tax related to its lobbying activity. Therefore, under Internal Revenue Code Section 6033(e), the nondeductible portion of your dues paid for 2007 is 95%.  The remaining portion of your dues may be deductible as a miscellaneous business expense.  Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your dues.”
