2018-2019 Children's Scholarship Program
Each year the Virginia State Police Association (VSPA) recognizes outstanding college students through its VSPA Children's Scholarship Program. This year, the VSPA will award up to 65 college scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000. To be eligible for a 2018-2019 scholarship, applicants must be:
- A child of an Active, Retired or Lifetime Member in good standing;
- A rising college freshman, sophomore, junior or senior who will be taking at least 9 credit hours per semester and working towards their first undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university;
- A legal dependent (defined as a natural or adopted child, under the age of 25, for whom the member provides more than half of their support, or a child for whom the member provides more then 50% support) of a VSPA member in good standing; or
- The surviving dependent of a trooper killed in the line of duty provided the trooper was a member in good standing at the time of the incident.

Completed applications must be received in the VSPA Office by the close of business (4 p.m.) Friday June 15, 2018.
